G.L. Hills Funeral Home offers a wide variety of assistance for you and your family. We will help guide you through planning a personalized service that reflects the life of your loved one. To plan a meaningful service, the following information includes the various options we offer.

Traditional Funeral Services

We can provide all aspects of traditional funeral services, such as viewing and visitation, coordinating funeral/church/chapel services, graveside services, and burial entombment.

Memorial Services

We can help you plan any memorial service that you design, and these services need not be limited to our facilities or a church/chapel.

Cremation Services

Cremation is simply a different form of disposition. Our cremation services can be like traditional funeral services; that is, there can be a viewing and visitation as well as funeral and graveside services.

Pre-arrangement & Pre-payment of any Services

We can help you plan your services before need, and they can be as general or detailed as you like. We will gladly walk you through the process so that you have all of the information that you need to make important decisions at each step.

Tribute Video

Please bring in or email us your favorite pictures, either in loose photo form and/or digital files, and we will scan them to create a tribute video to be shown during the visitation or memorial service, or as a private remembrance for your family. If you would like them to appear in a particular order, simply place numbers on the backs or files and let us know to look for them. We will provide you with two copies of your tribute video on DVDs to take home.

Memorial Photo Displays and Memory Tables

We will display your favorite pictures, diplomas, certificates, awards, newspaper articles, and any other paper documents that you have selected in our magnetic frames on easels throughout the chapel. Dimensional items such as hats, medals, and favorite objects that you would like to display will be placed on provided tables and shelves.

Website and Social Media Obituaries

We will place a photograph, an extended life story, and/or a newspaper notice onto our website to allow your family and friends to view the obituary online. There are options to sign the guestbook, send flowers and sympathy cards, and make memorial donations, as well as social media sharing options and printing options.

Funeral Directors concentrate their focus on listening and assisting families to prepare meaningful tributes. They are trained beyond state requirements with in-depth courses on sensitivity, ethics and ways to create meaningful, personal services.

 

Preneed Specialists concentrate on listening and recording clients’ wishes. They also explain the benefits, options and funding available for preplanning funerals. Staff members are trained and licensed according to the state’s licensing requirements and help families put their wishes in writing.

 

Our staff members are trained to handle every situation with dignified professionalism. Whether dealing with the financial intricacies of funeral prefunding, the sensitivity and detail-oriented planning of funeral directing or the legal aspects of cremation, trust us to exceed your expectations.
