William Henke, age 85, of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021. Loving father of Steven (Adeline) Henke and Karen (Louis) Fotopoulos. Proud grandfather of John Fotopoulos, William Fotopoulos and Kaitlyn Henke. Dear Uncle of many nieces and nephews. William was preceded by death by his loving wife, Rose Elizabeth Henke, brother, Leo Henke (Elizabeth) and parents. William enjoyed spending time with his family in Wisconsin for vacations. He also enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, model trains, vegetable gardening and tinkering in his garage! William was a veteran of the US Army reserves. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 starting from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:30 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment to follow in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois.
