William A. Fluhler, age 86, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois for 59 years passed away August 24, 2023. Beloved husband of 59 years to Durell (nee Orthman). Loving father of William J. (Christine) Fluhler and Michele (Michael) Dougherty. Proud grandfather of Aaron Fluhler, Shane, Dowan, Logan, Finian, Aidan, and Brodie Dougherty. Dear brother of the late Carole Fluhler. William was born October 17, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Joseph and the late Julia (nee Kozak) Fluhler. He was an avid gardener and woodworker, and he loved spending time with his grandkids. Private family services will be held. Interment in Ridgewood Memorial Park, Des Plaines, Illinois.
