Walter "Butch" Stasch, age 65, of Des Plaines, IL passed away suddenly October 18, 2021.  Born November 16, 1955 in Chicago, IL, first born to his late parents Donna Erickson and Richard Stasch. Butch graduated Taft High School in 1974. He was a welder in Cicero until he moved to Des Plaines in the mid 80's where he easily made many, many, many friends.  Butch had a long career with the Des Plaines Park District and Giuseppe's Restaurant. Butch will be missed by his siblings: Suzanne Flynn, David Stasch, Cynthia (Michael) McCann, and Christoper Erickson; nieces and nephews: Eric, Ashley, Brianna, Nicholas and Riley and great-nieces Hadley, Gianna and Morgan; step-father Roy Erickson and step-mother Judith Stasch; aunts, uncles, and cousins; fiancé Gina Ellinger and family, dearest friend Carter, and beloved cats. Butch enjoyed life to the fullest, lit up any room, and was a friend to all he met. A Celebration of Life is scheduled Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Friendship Park Conservatory, 395 W.
