Vincenzo DeFilippis, 93, of Huntley, Illinois passed away peacefully on May 9, 2024. The son of the late Pasquale and Maria (nee Savino) DeFilippis, he was born in Triggiano, Bari, Italy. Vincenzo proudly served in the United States Army and was a successful pizzeria owner for 50 years, 30 of them at Village Pizza of Rosemont, Illinois. An avid sports fan, he also loved his family and friends.

Vincenzo is survived by his wife Anna (nee Bolognini) DeFilippis, his children Maria (the late Ralph) Zaccaro, Pasquale (Sylvia) DeFilippis, grandchildren Sara Zaccaro, Girolamo (Megan) Zaccaro, AnnaMaria (Taylor) Peulen, Vincenzo DeFilippis, and great-granddaughter Violetta Peulen.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home at 745 Graceland Avenue Des Plaines, IL 60016. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church at 9711 W. Devon Avenue in Rosemont, IL. Entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.
