Venita "Vicki" Voyda, 83, of Des Plaines, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Voyda for 63 years. Loving mother of sons; Ronald Jr. (Jenny), Timothy (Nancy), and Michael (Julie). Cherished grandmother of Adam, Ryan, Jessica (Bryan) Stumpf, Matthew, David (Brittney). Proud great-grandmother of Maurice, Gwendolyn, William, Oliver, Brandon, and Levi Stumpf, Evan, Vera and Crosby Voyda. Preceded in death by her loving parents Warren and Gwendolyn Inglis. Loving sister to Lauren (Joe) Szwiec, the late Gwendolyn, the late Joan, and the late Bonnie.

Born in Chicago, she was a long time Des Plaines resident who cherished spending time with neighborhood friends, especially her best friend Lynn. She was baptized Episcopalian. Vicki enjoyed traveling with family to Hawaii, San Diego, and Orlando for amazing whale watching and sun-drenched adventures. She was a strong-willed, loving advocate and champion for others, and yes, a Cub fan.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois.
