Vernon "Vern" J. Bush, age 83, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois for 50 years, passed away December 1, 2024. Cherished husband of 60 years to the late Patricia "Pat" Bush. Beloved father of the late Mark Bush. Proud grandfather of Melissa (Curtis) Nielson and Jeffrey Bush, and great-grandfather of Jayme and Chevy. Dear brother of the late Steven (Barbara) Bush. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Vernon was born August 3, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Steven and the late Bernice Bush. Vern was a veteran of the US Army and an avid golfer in his free time.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Becket Church, 1321 N. Burning Bush Ln., Mt Prospect, Illinois. Entombment in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles, Illinois.
