Thomas E. Barnicle Jr., 79, past away at his Des Plaines condo after a protracted illness. Born in Evergreen Park and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Tom attended Mt Carmel High School. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Dolfin Cartage Trucking in Chicago as a safety director. Tom was predeceased by his parents Tom Sr. and Mary Catherine "Mae" of Des Plaines, Il. He is survived by his brothers: John (Theréze) of Malahide, Ireland. Paul (Julie) of Ingleside, Il. and his sister Mary Anne (Warren) of Cherry Valley, Il. Tom also enjoyed his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Katy (Miles) of Elmwood Park, Il., Andrea of Ingleside, Il., Tara (Balazs) of Western Springs, Il., and their children Finn, Charlotte, Nora and Teddy. Candice (Tony) of Leichlingen, Germany and their children Mae, Liam and Owen. And his nephew Colin (fiancée Erica). A private service will be held at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
