Obituary

Stanley M. Adams, 69, of Des Plaines, died suddenly on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from injuries sustained in a trucking accident. Stanley was born on July 1, 1950 in Whitlock, Tennesse. He was preceded in death by his parents Prentice and Addie Adams, brother Danny, sister Sue Ray, and many pet cats and dogs. He is survived by his partner of 43 years, Delena Shaw, daughter Rebecca Buruato, grandson Finn, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Stanley is a United States Mar ine Corps Veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. He loved golfing, riding his motorcycle, the Chicago Bears and will be remembered for his delicious southern style cooking. He could often be found at the stove or behind the grill preparing a huge feast usually served around midnight! Sundays were dedicated to watching the Chicago Bears and he could be heard blocks away cheering or jeering for his team. His laugh is unforgettable and very contagious. He welcomed everyone and made sure you left with a full belly and having made a new friend.
