Shirley L. Bertram (nee Legg-Albrecht), age 89, of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away July 11, 2023. Beloved wife of the late William Bertram. Loving mother of Steven Legg, Janet Rains, the late Sherry Myszka. Step mother to Leslie, William, Pam and Ron. Proud grandmother of Jamie, Stacy, Gary, Tommy, Zac, Jenna, Joey, Gregory, Luke and Julie. Great grandmother of 9. Dear sister of James (Lynn), Robert (Quin), Michael (Judy) Albrecht, Joyce Spitzer and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Shirley was born May 15, 1934 in Palatine, Illinois to the late Edwin and Gladys (nee Jurs) Albrecht. Shirley was a resident of Des Plaines for over 65 years and a proud member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over 45 years. Shirley will be greatly missed by her loving family and the community she was surrounded by. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 9:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 675 E. Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines, Illinois.
