Sebastian Arackal, age 80, of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away June 30, 2026. He was born January 8, 1946 in India to the late A.D. Thomas and the late Annakutty (nee Thoonkuzhy) Arackal. Beloved husband of Alamma (nee Vengayil) Arackal. Loving father of Cindy (Colin) Brammer, Stacey Arackal, and Jocelyn (John) Santos. Proud grandfather of Nicholas and Sebastian. Dear brother of Josetta, Joy and Dolly Arackal, Valsamma (Pappachan) Kanakalil, George (Alamma) Arackal, Soby (Elsa) Arackal, Annie (Jose) Thevera, Lisa (Joseph) Kunnath, Beena (Santi) Thomas, and Ravu (Mini) Arackal. Fond uncle of Asha and Biju, Ouseppachan and Dona, Anita and Amy, Noel and Nicole, Joel, Annmarie and Joshua, Katie, Christine, Jessica and Myles, Alphonsa, Nicole and Tom.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2026 from 10:30 am until the time of Mass at 12:30 pm at St. Zachary Parish, 567 W. Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment private.
