Ruth Martha Siese, R.N., age 89, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois for 46 years passed away June 16, 2021. Beloved wife of 51 years to the late William Siese. Loving mother of Eric (Diane) Siese, Karla (Kevin) Marrs, Karen (the late Steve) Reich, and Marlene (Brian) Rittmueller. Proud grandmother of Billy (Connie) Marrs, Eric (April) Marrs, Shannon (Matt) Williams, Rebecca Reich, and Kyle Rittmueller, and great-grandmother of five. Dear sister of the late Paul (the late Eileen) Birkle, and the late Daniel Birkle. Ruth was born May 6, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Otto and the late Martha (nee Lucht) Birkle. She was an RN for 30 years at Resurrection and Lutheran General. She volunteered at Lutheran General for four years after retiring. Ruth loved to travel and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was an avid reader and frequented the library and book mobile while it was still in service. As a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, she was involved in the Altar Guild. Ruth had much love for her family and many friends. Private family services will be held. Entombment in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois.
