Robert "Bob" Wayne Jones (1946-2026)

The world became a little less bright on April 20, 2026, with the passing of Robert "Bob" Jones. Bob passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 9, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert and Lorraine Jones.

Bob was a loving husband to Lynn for 60 years, a devoted father to Robert and Cherie, caring brother to Lori and a tender grandfather. As a skilled plumber, Bob spent over 26 years working for Illinois School District 214 Central Maintenance. He took immense pride in his craft and was a mentor to many.

He taught us to be kind, work hard, and always look out for one another. Bob's gentle spirit and steady presence will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 beginning with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave, Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
