Richard George Boyle, age 76, born in Chicago, resident of Des Plaines for 45 years, Vietnam Veteran, beloved husband of Carolyn (Denk) for 51 years, devoted father of Erin (Paul) Folino, Shane (Amy) Boyle and Ryan (Dorothea) Boyle. Loving grandfather of Tara, Ariana and Elissa Folino; Molly, Maura and Kate Boyle; and George, Johannes and Frederick Boyle. Son of the late James and Helen Boyle, and loving brother to his 12 siblings. Rich earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois. He was an active member of St. Mary and also St. Zachary parishes in Des Plaines. Rich was a natural athlete who obtained his black belt in Taekwondo when he was in his 50's. He loved a good joke and was prone to outbursts of song at any moment. He was always up for a fun time playing games and vacationing with his family yearly at Lake Lawn Resort. In retirement, Rich enjoyed photography, taking photos at every special family event. He always looked forward to trying his hand at video poker at Rivers Casino, and playing cards with his friends from church and the Frisbie Senior Center. Visitation will be taking place on Monday, July 12, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 12:00 noon at St. Zachary Catholic Church, 567 W.
