Obituary

Reba Dolores Pelletiere (Thomas) of Woodlawn Ave, Des Plaines, born in Sylvester, West Virginia at her home on April 3rd, 1949, passed away peacefully surrounded by her five devoted children and last remaining sister, on Sunday February 6th, 2022 at 9:03pm.

In the month of love, the Lord graciously brought Reba to Heaven to be reunited with her late husband, Thomas James Pelletiere. After 3 years, 2 months, 3 weeks and 2 days of being apart, Reba and Tom were able to celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary together again.

Married at First Congregational Church, Des Plaines, on February 8th, 1969, Reba knew Des Plaines would be a perfect place to raise her five children. As a devoted wife and selfless mother, everything Reba did came from the heart. She showed strength and unconditional love for her family. Survived by the close proximity of each of her children, Tom (Karen) Pelletiere [1.5 blocks away], Sue (Anthony) Almerigi [Nextdoor to the East], Mary (Ryan) Heider [10 houses away], Vito (Bobbi) Pelletiere [6 blocks away], and Margaret Pelletiere [Nextdoor to the West]. There was no doubt that this strong family couldn't conquer all together. As Reba would say, "Can't never could".

Always putting her family before herself, Reba was the most compassionate and considerate mother and grandmother. Each of her 12 grandchildren sharing a piece of "gram"'s beautiful heart. From oldest to youngest, Anthony Jr. (19), Faith (16), Tommy (13), Vito Jr. (12), Emily (10), Nicky (9), Becky (9), Josh (8), Charlotte (6), Ruby (5), Vicky (5), and Olivia (2). Also able to share stories and laughs, trials and tributes, until Reba's final breath, was her amazing sister, Dixie Mae Edie (Thomas) of Virginia/Florida. "We can figure it out together" Reba would say. And with that, together, Reba's family will continue to show the indestructible, ever-lasting, never ending love that had grown inside Reba for 72 years. Shared, In Perfect Memory of the Most Purest of Hearts.
