Ray R. Babilla, age 86, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois for 45 years passed away February 11, 2024. Beloved husband of 45 years to the late Virginia Babilla. Loving father of Sherry Kust. Proud grandfather of Brandon and Eric Alfonso. Dear brother of the late Roger Babilla and the late Vicki (William) Maher. Fond uncle of nieces Shannon (Charles) Weisbecker, Kristi (William) Shaffer; nephew James (Teresa) Maher; and great nieces/nephews Ellie, Joseph, Katie, James, Anna, Will and Mary. Ray was born August 30, 1937 to the late Ruel and the late Hertha (nee Freitag) Babilla. He had a great love for dogs and owned them throughout his life. A visitation will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 3:00 pm until the time of services at 6:30 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois.
