Nancy M. Fornoff, age 71, of Des Plaines, Illinois for 47 years, passed away April 27, 2026 surrounded by her family. She was born April 5, 1955 in Park Ridge to the late Jerome and Germain (nee Click) Even. Beloved wife of 43 years to Dennis Fornoff. Loving mother of Kenneth Fornoff, Keith Fornoff, Steven Fornoff and Heather Fornoff. Proud grandmother of Weston, Emma, and Madison.

Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother whose warmth and steady presence were the heart of her family. She devoted her life to caring for others, beginning with earning her master's degree in public health and continuing through her work as a nurse, where she ran vaccine clinics to serve those who might otherwise go without. Helping people wasn't just what she did—it was who she was.

She embraced life with curiosity and courage, traveling the world and diving beneath the sea as an avid scuba diver. It was through this adventurous spirit that she met the love of her life, beginning a marriage rooted in shared joy and discovery.

At home, Nancy found meaning in the details that brought people together. She poured love into her quilting, her cooking, and the photo albums she carefully created to preserve family memories. As the family genealogist, she took pride in connecting past and present, making sure stories and traditions were never lost. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and as an active member of her church, she found purpose in both service and community. She had a rare gift for friendship, welcoming people from all walks of life with kindness, humor, and genuine interest.

Nancy's life was one of deep love, quiet generosity, and joyful adventure—a legacy that lives on in her family, her friendships, and the countless lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2026 beginning with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 306 S.
