Maxine May Hubbard, age 81, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois since 1976 passed away June 1, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Douglas Hubbard and their daughter Rebecca. Loving mother of Douglas (Jill) and proud grandmother of Henry and Jesse. Dear sister of Mickey Shemansky. Maxine was born December 17, 1942 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Howard and Florence May.

A DePauw University graduate, Maxine taught Spanish, became an administrator, and ultimately, a principal in IL School District 62. Even after her retirement, she remained an active member of the community, holding leadership roles within the District 62 Foundation, PEO and the First Congregational Church.

Maxine loved traveling and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at First Congregational Church, 766 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines, Illinois.
