Matthew Eugene O'Toole, age 63, of Chicago, formerly of Des Plaines, passed away April 17, 2026 with his family by his side. He was born January 24, 1963 in Des Plaines. Beloved father of Kaela and Colleen O'Toole. Proud grandfather of Kallie and Sienna. Loving son of William and the late Patricia (nee Liebner) O'Toole. Dear brother of Kathy, Kevin, Bill, Patti, Thomas, Chris, Timothy, Mary, Terrance, Laurie, and Nicholas.

As a resident of Chicago, Matt supported all of the Chicago teams, but he was an especially devoted fan of the Cubs. After high school, he went to school to become an electrician. He was a dedicated and hard worker who truly loved his profession. Above that, Matt was a devoted father and grandfather who went above and beyond for his family.
