Mary Lou Eaton age 82 of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away on May 29, 2021. She was born on July 15, 1938 in Taylorville, Illinois to her parents George and Paulina Pasero. Beloved wife of the late Gerald. Dear sister of the late Ann (Bud) Wenk. Cherished aunt of Paula Cahill, George (Janet) Wenk, and Steve (Julie) Wenk. Proud great aunt of Matthew Cahill, Jennifer Cahill, Jessica Wenk, William Wenk, Tina Wenk and Rhetta Schmitt. Mary Lou enjoyed volunteering at Holy Family Medical Center and she helped run the gift shop at St. Stephen Protomarytr Catholic Church. She worked for many years as a pioneer in the telecommunications industry, rising to become an executive of the Centel Corporation, which was eventually purchased by Sprint in 1993. Visitation for Mary Lou will be taking place on Friday, June 4, 2021 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois, 60016. Funeral Mass will be taking place on Saturday, June 5, 2021 beginning at 10:15 a.m. at St. Stephen Protomarytr Catholic Church in Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Stephen Protomarytr Catholic Church in her name. Masks will be required.
