Marilyn P. Corson, age 85, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois, for 57 years, passed away on January 30, 2022. Loving mother of Sheri Corson of Bensenville, IL, and Melissa Corson-Klein of Glenview, IL, and survived by many beloved cousins.  Marilyn was born July 26, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Alfred and the late Solveig (Koterud) Petersen. She graduated from Foreman High School and went on to the University of Illinois, where she was active with her ZTA sorority. Marilyn worked for the City of Des Plaines for 22 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed time with her beloved pets and gardening and did the New York Times crossword puzzle weekly up until her passing. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois.
