Lorraine A. Kieser, age 102, of Des Plaines (formerly of Park Ridge and Chicago) passed away at home peacefully, surrounded by family on February 14, 2022. Beloved wife of the late William P. Kieser.
She is survived by her daughters Darlene (Kerry) Plencner and Judy Kieser. Her grandchildren, Bill (Erin) and Kerri Anne, and great-grandson Harrison were her greatest pride and joy! She loved and was loved by so many, including nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, pets, and friends who became family.
Lorraine was a devoted employee of the Park Ridge Community Center since their doors opened in 1992 until her retirement at age 98. She looked forward to greeting all the early risers in the mornings and after work she was an active member of the Park Ridge Senior Center. At the Senior Center she was part of the line and tap dancing groups for many years that performed throughout Park Ridge.
She enjoyed going out to lunch with friends and traveling to Florida with family. She will be remembered for her love, kindness, and gratefulness that she showed to everyone. Her thoughtfulness, determination, and encouraging, positive spirit will be a legacy that she leaves to us all!
Viewing will be on Saturday, February 19, from 9:00 am until the time of mass at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 794 Pearson St., Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment to follow in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church. Funeral care provided by G.L. Hills Funeral Home.
