Lois Priester (nee Rieker), age 96, a life-long resident of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away on July 17, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Russell A. Priester. Loving mother of William (Micky) Priester and Kathryn (the late David) Ostrand. Cherished grandmother of Eric (Emily) Moore, Danielle Priester and John (Christine) Priester.  Proud great-grandmother of Anna, Adalyn, Grace, and Jackson. Dear sister of the late Robert A. Rieker. Lois was born October 11, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Albert and the late Erna (nee Schoeder) Rieker. Her father owned a local drugstore on the corner of Prairie and Lee when she was a child. For many years, Lois worked as an interior designer. She was also a long time member of First Congregational Church. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at G.
