Lina Klages (nee Valls) age 96 of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away on December 14, 2021. She was born on November 27, 1925 in the Virgin Islands to her parents the late Daniel and Maria (nee Gomez) Valls. She came to Chicago to attend nursing school where she met Henry Klages Jr.  They married and she was the beloved wife of Henry for 71 years. She was a loving mother and wonderful cook who delighted in nurturing her beautiful flower garden and welcomed all who entered her home. She will be terribly missed by Henry, her children and all who knew her. She is survived by Henry.  She is also survived by her children and their spouses; Peter Klages and Nancy Colella, Thomas  Klages and Cathy Krause, and  Amy (nee Klages) and Tony Ulrich, her cherished grandchildren and spouses/partners of Stephen Klages, Sarah Klages and Ben Parvis, Alexia (nee Klages) and James Hignett, Collin Ulrich, Mitchell Ulrich, Maxwell and Katelyn (nee Ferguson) Ulrich, Drew  and Erika (nee Kroening) Klages and Emma Klages. She was the proud great grandmother of Charlotte Hignett, Alexander Hignett, Arlo Klages, Rhys Klages and Violet Ulrich. She is predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister. Services for Lina will be private.
