Kenneth Wayne Kleich, age 85, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois for 58 years, formerly Chicago, passed away May 24, 2022 from end stage dementia. Beloved husband of Geraldine (nee Burke) Kleich. Loving father of Beverley, Gregory and Timothy Kleich. Proud grandfather of Cheryl, Nick, Randy and Jon. Dear brother of Thomas (Jeanette) Kleich and the late Dorothy. Kenneth was born March 26, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Edward and the late Helene (nee Krzemkowski) Kleich. Kenneth had a very strong sense of family, lifelong love for dogs, an avid fisherman, coordinator of monthly retiree breakfast get-togethers, Lane Tech Alumni and Eucharistic minister. For many years, he worked for the Chicago Transit Authority, was a veteran of the Naval Reserves, involved with the American Legion Post 134 Morton Grove and longstanding member of IBEW union Local 9. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2022 starting with a prayer service at 10:15 am at the funeral home, mass to follow at 11:00 am at St. Mary Church 794 Pearson St., Des Plaines, Illinois.
