Kathleen Mae Barnes (nee Karr), age 91, a lifelong resident of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away October 20, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Clyde Barnes. Loving mother of Kenneth (Teri) Barnes, Karl (Mary) Barnes, the late Carolyn Maringer, Gail (Brian) Bradley, Bonnie (Mike) Gaynor, and Lisa Hartness. Proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister of the late Norman Karr. Fond aunt of 6 nieces and nephews. Kathleen was born July 13, 1933 in Des Plaines, Illinois to the late Kleo and the late Anna Viola (nee Nicholls) Karr.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church, 668 Graceland Ave, Des Plaines, Illinois.
