June Eleanor Stevens (nee Nelson), age 98, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois for 70 years passed away January 31, 2025. She was born July 30, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Albin and the late Elsie (nee Hammarberg) Nelson. June was very active in her church, Trinity Lutheran, for 70 years and helped wherever and whenever she could. She worked at Maine West High School in the guidance office, and eventually moved on to working for United Airlines in their executive offices. In her free time, she was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling. June was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late Raymond Frank Stevens; loving mother of Karen Phillips, Thomas Stevens, Robert (Judi) Stevens, Christine (John) Sova, and the late Patricia Lynn Stevens; proud grandmother of Taylor (Colton) Runyon, Tyler (Sarah), Kirsten, Brett Stevens, Trevor, Bryce, Rachel Sova, and the late Brian Wachholz, and great-grandmother of Eva and Rylee.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 7, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 675 E. Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment to follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
