Joshua F.
E. Peterson
Nov 7, 2003 — Sep 20, 2024
Des Plaines
Joshua Peterson was an energetic, playful, and compassionate young man. On the morning of September 20, 2024, he tragically passed away from a motorcycle accident not far from his home. Joshua, age 20, was the beloved son of Christopher and Kimberly (nee Frazier) Peterson and cherished brother of Luke, Nick, Caleb, Ben, and Abby (Sami) Marquez; dear grandson of Gerald and Patricia Peterson; sweet nephew to many adoring aunts and uncles; and fun-loving cousin to many.
To know Josh is to love Josh. From the moment he entered our lives on November 7, 2003, he brought joy and laughter everywhere he went. Josh enjoyed many sports growing up, and especially focused on wrestling during his high school years. Like all of his older siblings, Josh worked at Pesche's Garden Center throughout high school. After graduating high school, Josh had the opportunity to serve in Greece with a group of young adults from his church. Josh had a special way with kids and made many sweet connections while serving there. Josh enjoyed all things related to cars and repair work. In July of 2023, Josh began working at United Airlines as a ramp agent, and made many friends during his time there. He met other car and motorcycle enthusiasts, and they loved to ride together. In the early morning hours of September 20, Josh rode straight into the arms of his Savior, Jesus. Josh will be missed by everyone who knew him.
