Joseph J. Gardi Sr. age 80 passed away February 16, 2019. Joseph had a true love for life. He was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis (nee Klickman). Loving father of Jean (Brian) Vanko, Bernadette (Bill) Koski, Joseph (Heidi) Gardi Jr., and Julie (Keith) Gardi. Fond brother of Patricia Mingilino, Alberta (Marrera) Gardi, and Linda (Ross) Urso. Step father of Florence (the late Robert) Ortiz, Wayne (Eileen) Ruttenberg, Cary (Gloria) Ruttenberg, Keith Ruttenberg, Sheldon (Elma) Ruttenberg, Maureen Kelly, Ava (Bill) Bruckner, Revell (Mildred) Ruttenberg, Scott (Isabel) Ruttenberg, and Beth Ruttenberg. He was a loving grandfather to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of Josephs life will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019 from  Noon until 5:00 p.m. at River Grove Moose Lodge 8601 W. Fullerton Ave, River Grove, IL 60171.
