Josef Bachmeier, age 98, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois since 1956 passed away December 15, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Inoveva. Loving father of Agathe Bachmeier, Sonya (Byron) DeLeon, and Eva (John) Dumelle. Proud grandfather of Christopher (Jessica), Adam (Michelle), Josef, Michael (Kelsey), Johnny, and Joshua, and great-grandfather of Ysabella, Max, and Milan. Fond brother of seven. Josef was born October 6, 1923. Visitation will be held Monday, December 20, from 3:00-8:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. There will be a 10:15 am prayer service at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Stephen Protomartyr Church, 1280 Prospect Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois.
