Joan Damascus passed away peacefully at home with her family around her on September 1, 2022. Joan was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 30, 1940 to the late Marie Murphy (Wolter) and the late Chester Wolter. Joan was married for 60 years to her beloved husband Aristides "Breezy" Damascus. She was the loving mother of Karen Damascus and John Damascus. Very proud grandmother of Georgina Genovese and Clarissa Genovese. Dearest sister of Arlene (the late Leroy) Bialkowski. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois . Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 9:30 am at St. Emily Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect, Illinois . Interment in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
