Jeanne Gilligan, age 95, a 56-year resident of Mt. Prospect, died peacefully at home February 10, 2025.

She was born on January 10, 1930 to Frank and Bessie Visk.

Jeanne was the beloved wife of the late Francis, loving mother of Martin (Christine), Joanne (Barry) Hoobler, Patricia (Tom) Coti, and Maureen (Chris) Vela, and devoted grandmother of Kate, Kevin, Allison, Jennifer, Julia, and Nicole. Dear sister of the late Rita, Robert, Fritz, George and Ray; cherished Aunt of 41.

Jeanne loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and took an active role in organizing family get-togethers.

She was a member of St. Emily Catholic Church and was a part of the St. Em's Gems and the St. Emily Women's Club. She spent her time volunteering for the Girl Scouts, Mt. Prospect Senior Center, Maryville Academy, St. Emily School and Church, LifeSource and more.

She was a blessing to us all and will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am at St. Emily Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect, Illinois.
