Jeanne Lucette
Francois
Sep 21, 1932 — Jun 4, 2025
Des Plaines
With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Mrs. Jeanne Lucette Francois, who departed this life peacefully on June 4, 2025, at 4:04 PM, at Advocate Lutheran Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois, at the age of 92.
Mrs. Francois was born on September 21, 1932, in Saint-Marc, Haiti, the beloved daughter of Morel Ade and Germaine Jean-Marie. The eldest of six, she led with wisdom and grace, paving the way for her sisters Rosette (Wesler), Margarette, Elsie, and her brothers Fanfan and Charles.
At the tender age of 17, she married the love of her life, Franklin Antoine Francois, who preceded her in death in June 1982. Following his passing, Mrs. Francois raised their nine children on her own as a strong Catholic woman, unwavering in her faith. She never sought remarriage, choosing instead to dedicate her life to her family, faith, and prayer. Her strength, dignity, and commitment were a shining example to all who knew her.
Mrs. Francois was a committed mother of Rachelle (Jean-Monet), Chantal (Jacques), Carole (Rupert), Josiane (Patrick), Reginalde (Gibert), Harry, Ketline (Job), Paul (Patricia), and Dominique (Reggie). Her nurturing spirit extended to her 18 grandchildren (Johanne, Tania, Melissa, Stacey, Kevin, Melinda, Anne Isabelle, Alexandria, Patricia, Ashley, Christopher, Brian, Nicholas, Christine, Ricardo, Giovani, Stephon, Chanel) and 15 great-grandchildren (Romeo, Jevon, Angie, Talia, Julissa, Tyre Junior, Juliana, Arielle, Jordan, Carter, Armani, Cayden, Brielle, Jakai, Lilah) all of whom were blessed by her warmth and generosity.
She had a heart full of giving and never missed a moment to show her love. Each Christmas, she delighted in gifting every one of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, making them feel remembered and cherished. She also never forgot her children's birthdays—no matter what—always finding a way to give them a gift, even if it was small. Her thoughtful gestures became treasured traditions that her family will carry in their hearts forever.
Her life was a testament to faith and service. A devout Catholic and dedicated prayer warrior, Mrs. Francois's days were often filled with spiritual reflection, televised Mass, and travel with her church. Her persistent devotion was the cornerstone of her life and a source of strength for all who knew her.
Professionally, Mrs. Francois dedicated her career to health care, caring for others with great compassion. She was also a talented seamstress, admired for her skill and creativity. In her leisure time, she enjoyed sewing, collecting antiques, and exploring the world through her church travels.
After relocating to Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Francois remained a pillar of love, wisdom, and faith in her family and community. She will be remembered for her unshakable faith, her giving spirit, and the legacy of love she leaves behind. Mrs. Jeanne Lucette Francois will be deeply missed but forever cherished. Her love, prayers, and enduring example will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
On behalf of our family, we would like to extend our sincere condolences to the following family: Francois, Ade, Duret, Desire, Nelson, Guerrier, Levy, Augustin, Tonsil, Cyril, Jones, Henderson, Nelson-Morissette, White and Franklin.
