James "Jim" E. Hemzacek age 79 of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away on April 12, 2021. Beloved husband of Karen (nee Innes) for 43 years. Loving father of Christopher (Adriana) Hemzacek and Melissa Hemzacek. Proud grandfather of Hunter and Asher. Dear brother of Carol (Frank) Sutfin, Susan (James) O'Neil, the late Shirley (Bob) Harper and the late Jean Drew. James was very active at his churches serving on the church council and participating in mission trips. A memorial gathering will be taking place on Saturday, April 17, 2021 beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois 60004.
