James Robert Goodale, age 74, of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away July 19, 2022. James is survived by his loving life partner Christine Bieruta, daughter Selena (Dave) Melton-Andreakos, grandchildren Savannah, Alex and Brenna Melton, five siblings and many nieces and nephews. He was born July 16, 1948 in Waukegan, Illinois to the late Robert and the late Jean (nee Hapeman) Goodale. James was a devoted member of the Jaycees. He also served as a police officer in Park Ridge and South Barrington. Visitation will be held Monday, July 25, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 starting at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Eden Memorial Park, Schiller Park, Illinois.
