James Peter Cunningham, of Chicago, IL. Born May 5, 1936, went peacefully to the LORD on Saturday, February 6, 2021. James was in the Chicago Fire Department for 37 years. James is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Marilyn Nee Skiba; his children William (Mary) Cunningham, Brian Cunningham, Susan Zelek, Jeff (Christine) Cunningham, Karen (Derek) Parker, Gary (Mercedes) Cunningham, and Lori (Don) Schufman, and the late Joe Cunningham. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also, by his sisters Betty (Robert "Ozzie") Koujourian and Donna (Lino) Baggio; and brother-in-law, George Loescher.

James was preceded in death by his loving parents, Harry and Elizabeth Cunningham; siblings, Mary and Charles Dupee, Harry Edward Cunningham, Lorraine and Donald Bernson, Lois and Jack Madden, Beatrice Loescher, Margaret and Thomas LaCerra.

Mass will be held Monday, February 15, 2021 at 10AM at St. Beatrice Catholic Church, 9701 W Irving Park, Schiller Park, IL. (Limit of 120 people)
