Eugene "Jim" James Bradley III, 67, life long resident of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away on February 24, 2025. Jim was born on December 6, 1957 to the late Eugene James and Alice Ann (nee Buckley) Bradley II.
Jim is survived by his son, Benjamin James Kruppa-Bradley and step daughter, Martha Kruppa, sisters Mary Beth Bradley Salvatore and Peggy Bradley-Parkison (Tom), brother John Bradley, and girlfriend Kathy Marsala. Proud uncle to Shari, Jimmy, Arissa, Alison, Patrick and Russell. Great uncle to Kai, Madison, Aria, and Noah. Loving uncle Tom Buckley (Roni) aunt Karen McDonough (Ken) and Margaret Buckley and many cousins
Jim was predeceased by his grandparents, parents, brother Bob Bradley, nephew MJ many aunts, uncles, Jennifer Cassidy and his beloved cat Betty.
Jim graduated from Maine west high school in 1976. He was a mechanic, carpenter, painter, concrete worker and a dedicated public works employee for the city of Des Plaines where he retired from in March 2024 and he was honored when he was made employee of the year shortly after starting with them and loved the friendships he formed with his coworkers.
Jim was passionate of his years of riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles and the lifelong friendships that turned into a deep brotherhood. He loved music, playing the drums, painting, planting pumpkins and sunflowers but most of all making people laugh and putting a smile on their face.
Jim absolutely loved Halloween and over the years had perfected his decorations for it.
Jim truly was "that guy" well known and respected by everyone who was blessed to have met him. His greatest joy in life was his son who he loved with all his heart.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of the memorial service at 2:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated. Funeral care provided by G.L. Hills Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
