Henry J. DePaepe, Jr. , 88, son of Henry Sr. and Maude (Ellis) born May 7, 1930, passed away on November 19, 2018, surrounded by his family.  Henry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 66 years, Elaine (Czajkowski), children Timothy (Belle), Daniel, Ann Marie Frank and Christine (Kara Soderberg), as well as his nine grandchildren, Kyle DePaepe; Margot and Rebecca DePaepe; Kendall, Jessica and Conrad Frank; Riley, Hudson and Blake DePaepe-Soderberg.  Henry will be missed by all of his family and friends.  He is predeceased by his sons, Scott and Michael (Debra); and all seven of his siblings Sedonna, Albert, Edward, Louise, Lillian, Matilda and Raymond.  Henry was a hardworking man who devoted 43 years of his life to the Chicago Northwestern Railroad to provide selflessly for his beloved family.  Henry was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears, and a lover of hot coffee, Las Vegas and a good musical.  His devotion to his beautiful wife was shown in the kind of love you might only see in the movies.  His favorite story to tell was of how he met Elaine at the Aragon Ballroom and convinced her shortly thereafter to marry him.

Memorial gathering Sunday, December 2, 2018 at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 4:30 p.m.
