Helen Eleanor (nee Wozniak) Doney, born December 2, 1928, daughter of Alexander & Angeline (Kuzma) Wozniak, wife of  the late William A. Doney, mother of Michael (Susan) of Eau Claire, WI and Nancy (Martin) Anderson of Normal, IL, sister of the late Henry , passed away in Normal, IL on June 21, 2021. Family includes her nephew Martin Wozniak, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She worked for 37 years at Deluxe Check Printers, as proofreading supervisor, retiring in 1991. She loved her family and friends and shopping and traveling and eating out. She hated that she couldn't drive and shop and be independent and stay in her condo and not be a bother. She requested no visitation or funeral or flowers. She will be buried next to her husband at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles, IL at a private family service on June 30th.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Des Plaines Public Library and any agency that supported dogs - "There's nothing like a dog"
