Geraldine J. Wankowski (nee Brukner), age 85, of McHenry, Illinois passed away January 10, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Edward Wankowksi. Loving mother of Steve (Lara) Wankowski, Ed (Lowell) Wankowski, and John Wankowski; and mother-in-law of Linda Stancato. Proud grandmother of Michael Wankowski, Sara Wankowski, Steven Wankowski, Kate Stancato, Jackie Larsen, and Justine Larsen; and great-grandmother of Isaac Wankowski, Lexi Wankowski, Kia VanDeusen, Liam Wankowski, Athena, and Cora. Dear aunt of Janet, Krissy (Dan), Catherine (Les), and Matthew (Cristina). Preceded in death by her sister Andrea (Cookie), and brothers Chester and Edward. Geraldine was born June 18, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Jerome and the late Catherine (nee Derus) Brukner. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois.
