Frank L. Chrzan, age 95, a resident of Mt. Prospect, Illinois for 17 years, passed away August 16, 2022. Beloved husband of 72 years to Dolores (nee Schmecht). Loving father of Richard (Ellen), Michael (Karen), and James (Gretchen). Proud grandfather of Ashley, William, Leda, Michael, Claire, James, Hope, Francis "Casey," Jay (Crystal), Rose, and Louis; and great-grandfather of Everett. Frank was born December 2, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Casimir and the late Anna (nee Duda) Chrzan. He was a World War II veteran of the US Marines. His wife and his family were important to him, and he's lovingly remembered as a sweetheart. Frank loved traveling with his wife, Dolores. He enjoyed watching sports and has been a life-long Cubs fan. Frank had many hobbies as well. He was a railroad enthusiast and built model trains, he did woodworking, and he even helped with gardening and growing roses. After Frank retired he also took on an educational role, tutoring students in reading and acting as an election judge for many years. He made many donations to the Lakota nation as well as Boys Town. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at 10:30 am at St. Emily Church, 1400 E. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect, Illinois. Private interment in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, Illinois.
