Elizabeth Mary Schmit "Beth" went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2026 at the age of 91, due to an injury. Beth was born on June 14, 1934 to Joseph and Mary (nee McGraith) McCormick, in Hutchinson, Minnesota, where she was raised with her ten siblings.

Her greatest joy was her family. Beloved wife of Richard "Dick" Schmit, who preceded her in death 9 years prior. Beth was a devoted mother and is survived by her eight children, Richard (Cori) Schmit Jr., Patty (George) Sadlicki, Dave (Pat) Schmit, Mary Schmit, Tom Schmit, John (Ana) Schmit, Peggy (the late John) Pisors, Linda (Kenny Miller) Schmit. Proud grandmother of ten, great-grandmother of thirteen, and great-great-grandmother of two.

Beth had many lifelong friends who became like family. Over the years, Beth was an avid reader, and she loved to crochet and knit many beautiful items. Her children are very thankful for all of the great memories she gave us over the years.
