Edward Joseph Sullivan, age 93, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024.

Born in Chicago on January 28, 1931, he was the son of Margaret (née Marco) and Eugene J. Sullivan. He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy (née Schaffer). He is the loving father of Therese (late Mark) Stoyas, Susan (Robert) Zapinski, and Mary Soldani. Cherished grandfather of Nick, Colleen (Paul), Andy (Lindsay), Kelly (Mike), Kevin (Erin), Jenny (Ricky), Catie (Josh), Joey, (Sarah), Jake, and Lily. Loving great- grandfather of Ella, Rose, and McKenna. He was also a fun loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, and he will be greatly missed by all.

A lifetime Chicagoland resident, Ed graduated from Amundsen High School in June 1948 and joined the Navy the following September, at the age of 17. He became a trade electrician and spent his career building precision boring machines. He was the man who could fix, repair or build anything.

Viewing on Monday at St. Zachary Catholic Church 567 W. Algonquin Rd, Des Plaines, IL from 10:00am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.
