Diane Margaret Fillipp, age 60, of Algonquin, Illinois passed away December 23, 2023. Beloved daughter of Al and Peg (nee Davis) Fillipp. Loving sister of Deb (Ted) Schlude, Denise (Paul) Willes, Doreen (Matt) Voy, Darcy Fillipp, Dan (Laura Oko) Fillipp, and Deanna (Eddie) Szmergalski. Adoring aunt to Jake, Jordan (Liz) and Jared (Kelsey) Golojuch, Vanessa Willes, Stephanie, Becky (Alex Hernandez), Jon Voy, Samantha, Amy (Jordan) Hunter, and Matt Struck, Danielle, Jack, Sam, Emily and Courtney Szmergalski, and the late baby Robert Voy; and great-aunt to Shayla and Della Struck, Oliver, Claire and Michael Golojuch. Diane was born February 9, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois.

As a proud Chicagoan, Diane found immense joy in her love for the Cubs, and loved both watching and attending games. An ardent music enthusiast, she kept an extensive collection of CDs, reflecting her vibrant taste. Diane's sense of humor illuminated every room, as she  shared laughter through her witty jokes. At family gatherings, she was always sure to take a lot of pictures, capturing precious moments.

Diane held a deep connection to her Irish heritage, embracing and celebrating it. However, above all, family held the most significant place in her heart. Her unwavering affection and support for her nieces and nephews mirrored a mother's love. Diane would often express, "Being an aunt is the best thing in the world."
