David B Sanders, a printer by trade and life-long resident of Chicago, IL, and surrounding area died unexpectedly on Friday, May 2nd at the age of 60 in his home in Des Plaines, IL. Dave was born September 17th, 1959 to James and Shelia (Greenwood) Sanders. He enlisted in the navy at the age of 18. He was married to Donna Sanders (Treskon) in 1984. After a few years they welcomed their daughters Erin and Emily. Dave was a devoted father who never missed an opportunity to tell a "dad joke". He enjoyed skiing, cooking, attending concerts, and walking his dogs. Throughout the years, he had notable experiences including training in tai chi, bouncing in clubs, and vision quests in New Mexico. He will be missed greatly by his family, friends and all who knew him. Dave is survived by his father, James Sanders of Port Barrington, IL; his daughters, Erin Sanders (Marshall Smith) of Morrison, IL and Emily Sanders (Nathan Shipley) of Princeton, IL; his sisters Jaime Sanders (Arthur Otkala) of Port Barrington, IL, Amanda Sanders Ryan of Madison, WI, Lisa Field (David Field) of Huntley, IL, Linnea Shogren of Quincy, IL, his brother Tom Shogren of Waukegan, IL; his grandchildren Jesse, Nicole and Maddox; his oldest niece Rebekah Sanders, many more nieces and nephews, and the many cousins he had. And his loving friend, Penny Collins. He is predeceased by his mother Shelia Sanders (Greenwood), his sister Julie Sanders, his brother-in-law Nick Ryan and the mother of his children Donna Sanders (Treskon).
