Cyrill M. Michalek "Cy" age 86 of Des Plaines passed away on August 15, 2019. Beloved husband of Genevieve "Genny" (nee Howell) for 60 years. Loving father of Sandra (Brad) Griffith and the late Steven Michalek. Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Lauren and Tyler. Dear brother of Milan. Uncle of Michael (Heather) Michalek. Mr. Michalek was a longtime Chicago area resident growing up in Berwyn and later moving to Des Plaines where he lived for over 50 years. Mr. Michalek was also an Army veteran serving in Korea as Corporal from 1953 to 1955. Graveside services will be taking place on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Cemetery located at 700 N. River Road in Des Plaines, Illinois.
