Charles Bruske, age 84, of Des Plaines, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Charles lived a life filled with much love and joy and will be fondly remembered for being a very loving and dedicated husband and father and always put his wife and daughters first. He adored his wife, Sharon and loved telling anyone who listened about how they met and how amazing she was. Charles was a simple man and enjoyed talking to anyone and made friends with everyone. He often ran into someone he knew no matter where he went. He was quite the storyteller and loved reminiscing about his younger years. Charles was an avid Cubs and baseball fan and loved listening to Polka music. Charles never forgot a birthdate or anniversary and enjoyed catching up with friends and family on the phone. Charles was a devout Catholic and loved and supported his church community of St. Emily in Mt. Prospect, IL however he could. He enjoyed starting his day by sitting in his recliner and saying the rosary in peace and quiet. He was quite the jokester and will be remembered for his strong will, generous spirit and friendly smile.

Born August 8th, 1939, to the late Raymond and late Frances Bruske (nee Petkovsek). Loving husband of the late Sharon L. Bruske (nee Moore), loving father of Colleen Bruske and Rachel Bruske (Frank Romano), cherished brother of the late John "Jack" Bruske (late Joanne Bruske), dear brother-in-law to Margot Moore of Albuquerque, NM. Fond uncle to many nieces, nephews and cousins and a dedicated friend to many. Visitation will be Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. A prayer service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 9:15 am at the funeral home followed by Mass at 10:00 am at St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Rd. Mt. Prospect, Illinois.
