Bonde J. Stengren, age 94, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois for 68 years passed away September 10, 2023. Beloved husband of Mary Jane (nee Mesas) Stengren. Loving father of Linda (John) Engeriser, Susan (Dan) Rafferty, and Larry (Lori) Stengren. Proud Grandfather of Christie (Andrew) Elichek, Keith (Angelina) Engeriser, Taylor Stengren, Drew Stengren, and Great-Grandfather of Jodi & Gracie Elichek, Bennett & Karis Engeriser. Dear brother of the late Richard (Jill) Stengren. Bonde was born September 8, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Bonde and the late Nellie (nee Maday) Stengren. He was a veteran of the US Army.  Bonde was a lifelong fan of his beloved White Sox, and he loved to watch his grandsons, Keith and Drew play ball.  He was an avid fisherman and spent every vacation with his family in Vergas, MN.  Bonde loved music and in his younger days played the accordian  in a country music band. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, September 15, 2023 from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois.
