Angela Sammartino (nee Nieli), age 85, a resident of Des Plaines, Illinois for 24 years passed away April 28, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Calogero Sammartino. Loving mother of Maria (Dale) Woltmann and the late Vita (Paul) Digiorgio. Proud grandmother of Anthony Digiorgio (Nicholette) and Marcello Woltmann, and great-grandmother of Vitarose, Sofia, Pauly, and Nico. Dear sister of Rosa (Frank) Sanfilippo and the late brother Vito (Vita) Nieli. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Angela was born February 12, 1938, in Burgio, Sicily to the late Giuseppe and the late Vita (nee Scilabra) Nieli.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. Funeral Mass to be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Raymond Catholic Church, 301 S Ioka Ave, Mount Prospect, Illinois.
