Allen Nelson Angsten, age 85, long-time resident of Des Plaines, Illinois, passed away on December 29, 2024. Beloved husband of 57 years of Elaine (nee Kriese). Allen was born on August 22, 1939 to the late Aloysius and LaVergne (nee Nelson) Angsten. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a long-time active member of Christ Church Des Plaines UCC and a member of the Illinois Bell Pioneers.

Allen is survived by his wife, Elaine, daughters Cheryl (Bob) Bacigalupo and Lori (Tony) Madl, and sister Linnea Qualter. He is also survived by his grandchildren Nicole Bacigalupo, Brianna Bacigalupo, Mia Bacigalupo, Jake Madl, Samantha Madl, and Grant Madl.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Avenue, Des Plaines, Illinois. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights, Illinois.
